My son and i visited this campground this june and really i can't say enough good things. The owners are just so wonderful and inviting they have answers to all the events and hiking trails they are so informative and help you anyway they can.The cabin we stayed at was so neat and just so well decorated. It was like walking into ur own home. They deliver the fire wood to your sight. Every morning they brew fresh coffee for there patrons. Lindy was the best always with a smile and so very sweet. the campground was so very clean. it was just a great experience. My son still talks about it to his friends, They make you feel so very welcome.Just a great place for a get away. We will be returning every year. We went up for a weekend and stayed 2 extra nights really did not want to leave. They really care about every camper. They are the best. thanks so much Jim and Lindy. Submitted By: barbara osborne

Absolutely Perfect. Excellent service. Very friendly. Very Pet Friendly. They even offer access to a vet 7 days a week that offers kennel service should you need to leave your pet for a while. Delivered firewood to our site when we needed it. Guided us to our site upon arrival. Good old fashioned service. Did not feel like we were stacked in to a trailer park like so many of the big campsites have become. Submitted By: Gary Lantz

This campground looked wonderful driving in. However, I was not able to stay the night d/t a family emergency and so I drove to the campground in person to inform them of my cancellation. The camp owner was VERY rude and still continued to charge me for my nights stay. I called back to see if there was something they could do for me later in the week and the lady I spoke with was rude, inconsiderate, and proceeded to tell me lies that the owner had told her about me. Clearly there is much gossip that circulates through this campground and I advise any and everyone to avoid this campground at ALL costs. Submitted By: Olivia Fiaschi

Thanks to Lindy, Jim and Zoey too! We had a great hot weekend! It was the first time we have ever had firewood delivered right to our site (by a very friendly camper!)! The cabins were extremely clean! We were able to relax, visit, enjoy great food and views! Thanks again for all the help and phone calls as we arranged for our moms "birthday" weekend! A word to the newbies here, Be sure to follow their dirctions to the letter. Do not trust your GPS or Mapquest! You have been warned. We stayed over for 3 weekday nights. We were nearly alone, and were amazed at the helpful and friendliness of Lindy & Jim. We finally got to meet Zoey just before our checkout. What a sweetheart. Upon arrival, my first stop before check in was to the restroom facilities. What a pleasant surprise! Everything was spotless, and stayed that way throuout our visit. We loved our choice of rustic cabin, even though we were surprised at having electric and a refrigerator. The walking path to the rim is right there, and the view from the rim was spectacular. We opted to ride our bikes there twice, once early and once nearer to sunset. Great photo opps. This is a "must do" stop if you like to camp. If you read this Jim & Lindy, thanks for becoming our new friends. You were wonderful. Mitch & Patti Submitted By: Mitch & Patti Sweimler

We loved our 6 day/5 night tent-camping at Canyon Country Campground. It was an excellent place to escape from the city. Jim, Lindy and Zoey were wonderful hosts and very accommodating! All facilities were clean, useful and we couldn't have asked for more for "primitive" camping (we still enjoy our luxuries). Thank you again, and we will be back! Although we have camped previously, this was our very first camping experience with our new travel trailer and it was wonderful. Jim & Lindy were helpful as were other campers. The grounds are well kept and rest rooms very clean, unlike some campgrounds we have visited. We were well taken care of and would go back again and would highly recommend this campground. Having gone thru the loss of several pets, I know a rough time is ahead of them, as Zoey is such a sweetheart. My heart goes out to them. Bill & Joyce Submitted By: Bill & Joyce Printz

Everything at this campground was wonderful. Since it is owner operated, they really care about you and your comfort. From running wood to your campsite via Gator to fresh coffee brewed every morning......I cannot say enough good things about this campground. The cabin was very clean and the campsites were spacious. There was a clean refrigerator in our cabin as well as a space heater and a box fan that you could use to make the cabin comfortable. I was surprised by the comfort of the mattresses. The bathroom/showers were clean and decorated beautifully. If you stay here you will truly feel like family......Will definitely return again and again..... Submitted By: Shannon
